Hello and welcome:
Just recently I have been selected to play baseball for the Under Armour National Tournament Team and to attend the Omaha Pro Select Tournament held in Omaha, NE in June of 2010! There I will “train like a professional player” with Baseball Factory’s pro scouts, players and college coaches. Each day will be just like a professional training and game schedule, consisting of 3 meals a day, housing, and 8 hours each day of accelerated baseball instruction. My team consists of players who were selected from AR, CO, CT, IN, KS, KY, MA, ME, MI, NH, NM, NY, OH, PA, RI, TX, VT, WY, and Canada. I will make so many new friends. I will also have the opportunity to see many of the DI College World Series games as well. As you can imagine I am very excited to have this opportunity to elevate my game to a much higher level! I have always wanted to attend the College World Series. The opportunity to do both, will be the opportunity of a lifetime, for me.
Baseball is a big part of my life and I love it, as you know. I really want to go to this event because it will help me grow as a player and person. It will also prepare me for college baseball. A lot of very good players will be there and I can train with them in order to elevate my game. This will give me invaluable experience.
I really need sponsorship support in order to participate in this opportunity. My financial obligation is to fundraise (for expenses not covered by Under Armour) $3,500 to cover transportation (local and airfare) and lodging, food and miscellaneous cost for the summer. Any support you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
This opportunity will in no way negatively affect my schoolwork. I have earned a very good g.p.a. at West Lafayette; and, academics are one of my top priorities. I spend most of my time studying, trying to become a better baseball player; and, helping others. I hope I have made an impact on you or your child in some way, whether through coaching him/her or just having been a good friend; and, that you might want to help me reach my goal, knowing I won’t let this opportunity affect my priorities.
